![]() ![]() Narwhal - best available reddit app compatible.I'll leave a list of apps that work really well on this iPad: ![]() You also need to get good premium apps to have an enjoyable experience. It makes this ancient iPad still usable, for now at least. Added ad blocker (helps websites load a bit faster)Īnd a bunch of other smaller things.Added features like slide over and split view.Add youtube background play, no ads, etc.downloaded youtube version 12.17.10 with 60fps video. These are some of the things I did with my iPad after jailbreaking it to make it way better. Using it on 9.3.5 lets you use many more apps than 8, allows you to get newer versions of unsupported apps and adds other types of functionality.īut at this point you must jailbreak it to get any kind of use out of it imo. For a long time I was using this primarily as an e-reader, and that still works quite well. The device doesn’t seem to have aged in terms of performance for downloaded, offline apps, but online features have been getting worse and worse. I was happy keeping the old iOS for a long time, just slowly used it less and less. It appears that if I update from the iPad itself, I can get iOS 8.4.1, and if I go from iTunes I would jump straight to 9.3.5.
